Paul E
Rhythm guitar, vocals

Born in Port Stanley, Falkland Islands, Paul E is one of the founding members of Electrichead.

It wasn't until moving to America with his family at age six that Paul E first developed his first serious interest in music, introduced to rock supergroup KISS by his next door neighbour.

Inspired, Paul E decided to learn to play the guitar, practising on his sister's full sized classical acoustic. However, soon finding it difficult to play with his small six-year old hands, Paul E abandoned the guitar, not to return to it for another eleven years.

It wasn't until having moved to England at age seventeen that Paul E returned to the guitar, this time having much more success than before. Instantly becoming an obssesion, Paul E soon began spending hours practising, playing along and learning the songs of KISS, Mötley Crüe and Ozzy Osbourne, his favourite bands at the time.

It wasn't long before Paul E decided to start performing, and soon began gigging regularly as a solo acoustic act, covering the songs of such artists as The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and The Verve. It was through these gigs that Paul E began to meet and network with the other musicians in his local area, among these guitarist Rob Paige and vocalist/bassist Nick Reiber-Hodgson.

Originally meeting with Nick to record his own acoustic material, Paul E soon presented the idea of forming a rock covers band together, drafting in drummer Danny Gonzalez of Oceansize (of whom Nick was also a member), and guitarist Rob Paige to complete the lineup.

Disappointed with the lack of visual presentation in other local music acts, Paul E drew on his inspiration from KISS and presented the idea of making a band with maximum visual appeal. Adopting the use of backdrops, UV-reactive face-paints and clothing, ELECTRICHEAD was born.

In addition to Electrichead, Paul E continues to write and record his own solo material.
