Chris Browne
Drums, Vocals

Joining in the summer of 2007, Chris is one of the latest additions to Electrichead.

Beginning his musical career as a vocalist in a local band, Chris first picked up his sticks in his early teens after feeling that the rhythm section of the band was lacking. Influenced by the heavy rock and metal drummers of the 90's, Chris soon bought himself a double kick pedal, adopting a predominantly metal and heavy rock playing style.

After having made a name for himself as an established drummer on the local music scene, Chris soon found himself playing in a number of bands around the Oxfordshire area, including metal band Slave Unit, melodic/hardcore band Days of Grace and more recently SoW.

It was then through collegue Marcus Flynn that Chris learned of an opening for a drummer in Electrichead. After having played dep gigs with Nick before with Suede Alien, he was soon awarded the place, taking up his stool in the summer of 2007.

As a result of his continuous playing experience, he has adapted a playing style including a wide range of musical influences from funk and reggae to drum n' bass and dance. From behind his kit Chris powers the Electrichead machine along, combining power and grace with forceful and furious vocals.

In addition to Electrichead, Chris is currently involved in a number of other musical projects, as well as gigging and recording with other bands on a regular basis. As well as his various musical commitments, Chris works full time as a music lecturer and technician at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College.
