Ryan Robinson is a guitarist, session musician and composer based in Oxfordshire, UK.
With career highlights to date including supporting Jools Holland at The Royal Albert Hall and playing to sold out festival crowds with Nick Heyward, Ryan has over fifteen years’ guitar experience and is a good fit for a wide variety of session roles. A versatile player, he can play in a range of styles and genres as needed. In particular, he specialises in rock and groove-based styles such as funk, as well as in creating unorthodox sounds and textures with the use of effects pedals.
His direct practical experience is supported by qualification – in 2007 he was the first student to ever be awarded a triple distinction on the BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music Performance. Following this he committed to three years of further study, graduating with honours from the BMus degree at Tech Music School (London College of Music).
In addition he has experience working as a studio session musician, has composed for media, and works as a solo artist.
Currently, Ryan is performing live regularly with a variety of acts, working as a session player, and as a private guitar teacher in the Oxfordshire area. Most recently he has been working as guitarist for singer (and Haircut 100 frontman) Nick Heyward.
